As you all know, we had an announcement of the project's closure not long ago due to the absence of animators and supervisors. Then again, life happens, and many of us are unable to contribute towards an ambitious project such as this one, simply because many of us strive to maintain a balance between life and education/work already. But a work of art is still a grand creation, and to go back after all that effort betrays our very essence of pride and vision -- it would be a sin to abandon all our previous hard work.

Many of us share this sentiment, and hence many of you messaged us to keep the project open. A realization dawned then, that the project halted only due to lack of supervision -- Aicent is unable to secure time, AkaTsukiSakuya and Megan-Uosiu unavailable at the time, and I'm still busy with my personal animation project -- but the flare of fan-power is still strong, and there are a lot of folks willing to invest some time and passion to bring this project to fruition.

So indeed: The project is still alive! It's open now, so until the supervisors return the power is now handed to the fans; take whatever direction you'd like with it, and show what you envision. Interact with your fellow peers and discuss on the possible ideas. The only exception, though, is that the lack of supervision would mean that we're only regressing a few steps back. Instead on focusing on the whole book, we'll only be focusing on short Motion Videos, either based on specific scenarios or entirely aesthetic choice. Once we accomplish that, we can move on for the bigger prize. I will still be round in case anyone needs help, though, if not supervise things through.

So fire up your passion and take pride in your youth, 'coz the project has just begun! Unleash your abilities as a dreamer, because we wait for no tide. When artists envision something there is no satisfaction until it's a reality. Let's turn that yellow spot into the sun!

This has been a long time coming but I feel like it is necessary. This project was meant to be collaboration with people who were interested in creating a project with one another for the first book of Artmeis fowl. But a lot of things have changed. I won’t put the blame on staff members because I know it was my responsibility as the creator of this project to keep things in check, so I will simply say that one person cannot do it alone, and so many people have deserted without notice, and so many schedules have fallen apart, that I no longer feel like any of us should invest ourselves in this project. I cannot express how much this project meant to me as an artistic endeavor and a personal experience, and I am in debt to all of you I have let down, but we cannot afford keep sitting in this hiatus waiting for everything to gather itself together, and because of lack of voice actors with proper equipment for the most  part but for several other reasons, The project will be officially closed in a few weeks.

The animation team must follow the following data, mode and format in order to maintain stability and quality of resources. This list will be updated in time as required or when more information is available.

Resolution: FullHDTV 16:9  1920x1080 (got any better ideas, pitch in the comments)
Frame Rate (FPS - Frames per second): 15 (while HDTV automatically selects 24 FPS, 15 should be fine for us)
Mode of Compilation: Raw project files, unless distributing for demonstration.
Mode of Rendering: PNG sequence (some might say Targa, which is better but takes more space; try avoiding Video formats until final or preview rendering)
Preview rendering: SWF, or MPEG 4 Part 2 (DivX, in MKV container)
Animatics: Unprotected SWF for import.
Sound codec: MP3 for now, just to be safe.
